Resilience Comics

Getting ready to take photos of setting and resolution picture.

Importing setting and resolution drawing pictures into comic strips and planning which photos to take.
The Year 2's in Mrs Kelsy's class drew some very colourful setting and resolution pictures to create their Resilience Mindset comic strips. They took photos of these with their iPads and even used their skills in 'marking up' photos such as cropping them, to take their best photo and import it into a comic strip frame in the Book Creator app.
They followed their plans to make decisions about how to take photos of their friends making expressions that fit the 'Resilience Mindset'.
They are looking forward to exploring comic strip text types to complete the comics.

The students in Mrs Lansbury's class learned how to create a multi-scene video that they edited using the trim, text and stringing features. Student's worked in pairs and learned aspects of shooting and editing video as a result. The next challenge will be to shoot and edit a movie of their school to send to their ePals interstate.

QR Code Maths

Some of the fractions and multiplication question QR code questions. The year 5 and 6 students in Mrs Landsbury's class had the opportunity to apply their fractions and multiplication skills a Maths quiz with a difference using the iPads from the 1:1 iPad kit. Using QR codes created by their teacher using QRstuff on the web, the students tested themselves using their iPad to self assess and independently revise their skills. The students were honest, engaged and self directed during the quiz. Mrs Landsbury had not seen a Maths quiz like it before!

Explaining Everything with Mrs Kelly's PP's

The Pre-Primary students in Mrs Kelly's class described how they get to school using the Explain Everything app. The students selected the transport they use to get to school most of the time and coloured in their pictures. Then they photo'd their picture, wrote their name and recorded a voice over of their description of it. These will be exported to SeeSaw to add to the student's digital portfolios.
